David Mathews’ poem Mothballs has been published
David’s latest work, Mothballs, has been published by Eclectica Magazine online. When asked what motivated this particular piece of work David replied, ” One night while on the sofa watching television, I began smelling my girlfriend’s mothball reeking afghan that was her grandmother’s. I started asking my girlfriend questions about her grandmother—she was curious to say the least why I was—just like that, I stumbled into this poem.”

Mothballs
My grandmother loved them,
placed them everywhere,in circles like the ancients
placed their neoliths,
