EGSA is going to see Lemony Snicket
(whose real name is actually Daniel Handler) speak this Friday from 6pm-7pm as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival. Snicket is the author of the A Series of Unfortunate Events books as well as the All the Wrong Questions series.
Tickets are $10 with your student ID. Click here to buy them.
You can RSVP to the event here.
From the Chicago Humanities Festival Website:
Through a series of quite fortunate events, Lemony Snicket, literary superstar and character mysterioso, will grace the CHF stage. Or perhaps it will be Snicket’s alter ego, Daniel Handler. In any case this will be your very best chance to get the scoop from an individual quite closely affiliated with the compulsively readable serial novels A Series of Unfortunate Events and All the Wrong Questions. Come prepared with all the right questions. Complimentary copies of the September issue of Poetry will be available, featuring Handler’s portfolio of favorite children’s poems.
The Chicago Humanities Festival is thrilled to be the exclusive Chicago stop on Lemony Snicket’s book release tour for When Did You See Her Last? (the second book in his compulsively readable “All the Wrong Questions” series). Mr. Snicket is happy to autograph your copy, so let us know if you’ll be joining us for the book signing by adding “Book Sales RSVP” to your basket along with your ticket at time of purchase. We are asking you to RSVP for the booksigning so we can plan in advance; Snicket’s book signings are known for being festive as well as quite long. We’re putting together a special post-program event with author James Kennedy (Order of the Odd Fish), face painting, and other treats to make for an enjoyable evening while you wait!
