Whether it’s a family member, relative, friend, neighbor, or another talented teen in your community (or classroom), tell them about the opportunity to get published in DePaul’s Blue Book! The submission deadline for Blue Book 2024 is coming up on January 31, 2025, soon after the holidays.
DePaul’s Blue Book: Best American High School Writing highlights the unique voices of teen poets, fiction writers, and journalists through the publication of its annual anthology and features outstanding English and Spanish writing from high school literary magazines, newspapers, and individual students across Chicago and nationwide.
A catalyst for amplifying the creative output of young writers and artists, the Blue Book uplifts celebrations of life and love found in the hopes, fears, and diverse perspectives of teenage America, giving young writers and artists a head start on their creative journey.
Blue Book 2023 presents complex narratives of American, cultural, and personal identity, intertwined with literary escapism, self-acceptance, and transformations of the mundane into abstractly beautiful forms.
The print and web editions of Blue Book are both free of cost for everyone to enjoy.
