The Southeast Review’s Annual World’s Best Short-Short Story Contest + Gearhart Poetry Contest are now open for submissions! The winner in each category receives $500 and publication in Issue 38.1! Finalists will be published as well in Issue 38.1, and all participants will receive a complimentary copy of the issue.
This year’s judges are Robert Olen Butler, winner of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction, and Nabila Lovelace, author of Son of Achilles (YesYes Books).
The 2019 contest window is Jan 15th to March 15th.
In addition, The Southeast Review is now open for Interviews submissions! Send a pitch or a full interview for consideration. They are also open for submissions in Poetry, Fiction, and Nonfiction all year round.
