Responsibilities
Support high-level design
Collaborate with lead designer to identify business, performance, and training requirements and clarify the content for the course
Develop quality scripts
- Review source material and collaborate with client subject matter experts to refine content
- Write scripts that implement the high-level design, adhere to standards and style guides, and lead to effective learning
- Define how and where to use media elements in scripts (graphics, audio, video, animation) to make our courses come alive
- Work with our talented graphics team to communicate your intent for media, and incorporate their suggestions
- Collaborate with team members to answer questions and ensure quality
- Process client feedback, answer questions from team members, and consult with lead designer as warranted
- Ensure quality of production, including reviewing builds and audio against scripts
- Mitigate against scope creep
Maintain operational excellence
- Work to allocated number of person-hours for tasks
- Maintain hours in Clarizen (our time-tracking system)
Capabilities
Experience
- Prior experience in eLearning development not required.
Essential
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with proven ability to write in a range of tones and styles
- Strong visual instincts to suggest engaging graphical treatments
- Comfort working in a fast-paced growth company and on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Capability to take initiative
- Ability to review large volumes of information and make informed decisions about priorities and treatment of materials
- Strong communication skills: can explain decisions to team members and clients
- Strong interpersonal skills: can collaborate with team members, including lead designers
- Ability to use MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and comfort in learning new applications, including eLearning authoring tools and graphics tools
Travel
This role may involve limited travel for client work.
