Since its inception, The Gordian Review (TGR) has made a commitment to publishing the voices of today’s graduate students and giving them a unique publishing opportunity just for them. The original idea came from Texas Review Press’ founder and late director, Dr. Paul Ruffin, who wanted to present the world a sneak peek of the next generation of writers.
TGR is an annual online publication operated by SHSU graduate students who collect, select, and edit submissions. These graduates also design, produce, and publish the journal. TGR publishes works across genres and forms, accepting submissions in three areas: fiction, nonfiction and poetry.
All submissions must include a cover letter with the author’s full name, their student ID number, their school and program they are enrolled in, and their school email address.
