A final reminder that the 7th Annual Spring English Conference will be held Friday, April 29th from 10:00 am to 4:15pm on the 4th floor of Arts and Letters Hall.
The conference is unique opportunity to engage in the academic and creative work of your DePaul English peers and is an important part of fostering communication within the DePaul English community. Students are encouraged to attend as much of the conference as they can, and, as always the event is free and open to the public!
This year, there will be a keynote presentation by Dr. Brian T. Edwards, professor of English literature and Crown Professor of Middle East Studies at Northwestern. He will be discussing his latest book After the American Century: The Ends of US Culture in the Middle East (2016), which deals with the production and consumption of literature (as well as other cultural medias) in the Middle East. The keynote takes place from 1:00-2:15pm in SAC 154 with a catered reception to follow from 2:15-3:00pm in Arts and Letters Hall, 4th Floor Atrium.
