Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art is now accepting original work in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry for the Issue 54 Writing Contest.
One winner from each genre will receive a $500 cash prize and publication in Issue 54, due out this spring. All entries will be considered for online publication. The deadline is December 31 and there is a $15 entry fee. For details and to submit follow the link here.

Columbia: A Journal of Literature and Art was founded in 1977 and, in the years since, has published work from Nobel laureates and unknowns, National Book-award winners and newcomers. Their archives include writers from Raymond Carver to Lorrie Moore to Louise Glück to Philip Gourevitch to Noam Chomsky to Etgar Keret.
