Story Club Magazine is throwing a fundraising party at the Green Mill in Uptown on Sunday, November 2, at 1 p.m.  

Top Hats & Tales will feature food from First Slice Pie Cafe,  live music from The Morphtet, and performances by luminaries of Chicago’s live lit scene. The storytelling lineup comprises Don Hall, Jennifer Peepas, Samantha Irby, Megan Stielstra, Lily Be, and Kelsie Huff.

Tickets cost $20. The price of admission includes an entry into the “I’m So Fancy” costume contest and a raffle ticket, with prizes from the likes of The James Hotel, Groupon, and Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me!

Swim in a Sunday afternoon sea of waistcoats, cocktail dresses, strings of pearls, opera gloves, monocles, walking sticks, ascots—and, of course, top hats and tales.
