The “Just In Time” Job Fair at DePaul is taking place next week, on Tuesday, June 12th, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Students and alumni are encouraged to pre-register for this event through the DePaul.Experience “Calendar” section. On-site registration will also be available the day of the fair.

To Think, To Write, To Publish, an National Science Foundation grant-funded project developed by Arizona State University’s Consortium for Science, Policy, and Outcomes in partnership with the Writer’s Center and the Creative Nonfiction Foundation are pleased to invite writers, scientists, and policy-makers to the project’s keynote event in Washington, D.C. on the evening of October 6th, 2012.
Attendees will hear from editors from Harper’s, The Atlantic, National Geographic, Publisher’s Weekly, Issues in Science and Technology, and Narrative Matters–with a special guest appearance by and discussion with Virginia Morell, contributing correspondent for Science and author of the upcoming book Animal Wise: The Thoughts and Emotions of Our Fellow Creatures and three previously published and celebrated books. The New York Times awarded Morell Notable Book of the Year to Ancestral Passions, her dramatic biography of the famed Leakey family and their notable findings. Blue Nile, about her journey down the Blue Nile to Sudan, was a San Francisco Chronicle Best Travel Book, and The Washington Post listed Wildlife Wars, which she co-authored with Richard Leakey, as one of their Best Books of the Year.
