The English Department has arranged a special Career Center workshop for undergraduate and graduate students in English. If you’re looking for summer or permanent employment, we hope that you will find this workshop helpful in identifying and articulating your strengths to prospective employers. The workshop will take place in SAC on Thursday, May 19th from 6 to 7:30 pm in SAC 151.
Here’s a description of the workshop from the Career Center:
Wondering how to promote yourself to potential employers? Thinking about how your education has prepared you for success in the workplace? Join the Career Center on Thursday, May 19 at 6pm in SAC 151 for a workshop tailored to the needs of English majors. Attendees will take part in a hands-on exercise to identify and prioritize the skills they possess and wish to use on the job. Guidance on how to use this information in developing a resume, preparing for an interview, and setting career goals will also be offered.
The workshop will also serve as an introduction to the services the Career Center can offer you during and after your studies at DePaul.
